We offer boat rent in Burtnieki village, on coast of Lake Burtnieks! The boat base starts at 5:00 AM every morning! Only if the lake is frozen then we have holidays too! We have both BOAT ENGINES and LIFE JACKETS for safety and comfort! The fishing season starts at 1st of May and continues until the lake freezes! Normaly it is end of November or begining of December, but you never know.. Nature is not always predictable. Boats are available to anglers and also to those who want to take a simple leisure ride on the beautiful Burtnieks Lake! Also Burtnieki village is worth to take walk through for sightseeing! Boat trip in Burtnieks Lake, followed by a walk in Burtnieki Manor Park and Vīsrags nature trail – that’s a good idea!
REMINDER! For fishing in Latvia every fisherman needs: 1) Purchase a fishing card! (Exception – a fishing card is not required for persons who are not yet 16 years old or are already more than 65 years old, as well as if the person is disabled – for legal proof you need to have document that certifies your age or disability when fishing!) 2) In addition to fishing card that allows you to catch fish everywhere in Latvia`s public waters you need licence for particular lake or river that you want to go fishing! Lake BURTNIEKS is one of those lakes that you need licence too! RIGHT NOW, LAKE BURTNIEKS LICENSES ARE ONLY PURCHASED ON THE INTERNET! Licenses and fishing cards can be purchased at: www.manacope.lv

Although the opening hours of the boat base “Vidzemes laivas” are from 5:00 AM in the morning, we do not sit on the spot – therefore we recommend booking of our services in advance.
